Well done Tony Blaire on a third successive term in office. I'm glad Labour won because I think they've improoved education and healthcare, they've also reduced unemployment levels and introduced the minimum wage. There are many things which still need to improove and I don't agree with all of their policies but they are better than their opporsition. In my own constituency of Dewsbury, the labour and conservative candidates were of Asian origin. They both came first and second respectively. This is good in the BNP's catchment area because it sends a clear signal that most people don't support the BNP. I think Michael Howards decision to resign was surprising. I don't think he should be resigning, it's not like the conservatives made major losses. I think that he was a deesent opporsition leader, but this will probably benefit Labour because I can't imagine that the conservative replacement will be brilliant.

Well, I didn't vote labour or conservative I voted libral democrat. Personally I don't think there's a leader amongst the lot of them but that's just my view. I'm not sure why michael howard decided to step down - after all the conservatives did far better under him than under previous leaders. Although maybe they'll bring in someone who can see out a few terms - someone who's perhaps a bit younger, although they might want to not bring in a total unknown like i d s was.
